Toothpaste is a gel or paste dentifrice that helps in the cleaning of our teeth.

Toothpaste seems to improve each day. We have quite a bit of choices when it comes to choosing the right toothpaste:

  • anti-cavity toothpastes

  • extra-whitening toothpastes

  • toothpastes with mouthwash

  • toothpastes for sensitive teeth

  • toothpastes with stripes

  • clear toothpaste

  • and even liver flavored toothpaste for dogs.

Modern toothpaste has many applications, but most experts would agree that as long as your toothpaste contains fluoride, the brand you buy really does not matter. All toothpastes with fluoride work effectively to fight plaque and cavities. It is important to brush your teeth at least twice a day for a minimum of two minutes, and do not forget to floss before brushing.

How much toothpaste should I use?

  • A pea-sized dab of paste on your toothbrush is all you need.

  • Children should use a small, baby pea-sized dab on their toothbrush, always make sure it is not swallowed.
